Cooking With Tammy

Well I love to bake. I can just about bake anything, and surprisingly tastes really good. Some people tell me that I should open a bakery.(maybe they are just being nice) There is no box cake mix for me. All homemade from scratch. Even though I feel I am good at baking(thanks to all of my test test subjects opinions) I am not so great at the main course part. I can cook meals, but I guess I want to branch out and learn new things. So.......I watched the movie Julie and Julia, It was absolutely great. I fell like the cooks in the movie. I love to feed people. I love to see the happiness on their faces when something I made tastes great. Does everyone who has a love for cooking feel the same as me? I think that the movie has given me inspiration to learn a little about French cooking. So my next project will be to go on a search for Julia Child's famous Mastering the Art of French Cooking and start to experiment with some new unknown recipes. I am so excited. I will post about the recipes I try and what everyone thinks. So wish me luck!!!!

Well this is my second attempt at a blog. I guess it is time for change. Change is good.

I suppose I should start by telling a little about myself and my family. I am 35 years old, a nurse, and I have been married to my second husband for five years. I have four children who I love more than life itself. I suppose like any other nurse I work too much, but my husband and I decided to have him stay at home with the children so that they would not have to go to daycare.
I home school my youngest son. My daughter is only three, but she is the little princess of our family. Not everyone agrees with our arrangement, but we don't care. We live for our family and nobody else. I enjoy cooking, gardening, crocheting, reading, maybe housework, and I have started to paint now. My mother paints some. I guess it is contagious.

My goal is to blog more.I would like to post my recipes, my art work, and our daily going ons. So if you would like to follow our little place in the world please read along, laugh, cry with me and enjoy. It doesn't get any better than this.
